Advanced 3270 (78/79) Emulation Adapter for ISA - Configuring in the PC300/700 Desktop series

Adapter Configuration:
Hardware Setup for IBM PC300/700 series:
1. Go into Configuration Screen, F1 on boot.
2. Go into advanced isa legacy resources.
3. Make Irq 9 unavailable to system - (cascading interrupt.)
4. Make I/O address 2D00 to 2FFF unavailable.
5. Make memory address CE00-CFFF unavailable.
6. Go back to main configuration screen.
7. Go to Advanced.
8. Disable rom shadowing for the CE00-CFFF range.
- If used with DOS/Win EXCLUDE CE00-CFFF on EMM386.EXE line in CONFIG.SYS (use NOEMS parameter if EMS is not needed.)
- If used with OS2, exclusion for memory address is not needed.
Note:
When using PComm for Windows with a Valuepoint 466-DX2, add POLL=Y to [CSDFT] section in Workstation profile (*.ws) found in the PRIVATE subdirectory of Pcomm. This works around the cascading interrupt 9 problem.
Diagnostics for the card will not work without coax connection.
