Aptiva - How to install / uninstall Lotus Smart Center 96
Applicable to: United States
To install Lotus Smart Center 96 onto your Aptiva:
1. From the Windows95 desktop, double click on the Aptiva Installer icon
2. Insert the Lotus CD into the CD-ROM drive and wait for the drive light to go on and then off
3. Click on the find install program button
4. Highlight the Lotus Smart Center 96 icon by clicking on it once
5. Click on the install program
6. Enter your name and the company name then click on next
From here, you should follow the prompts. The install takes 8 - 10 minutes. When it is done, click on done.
To uninstall Lotus Smart Center 96 from your Aptiva:
1. From Windows95 desktop, click on start, shutdown, choose the option to restart in msdos mode, and click on yes
2. At the C:\WINDOWS> prompt, type cd\ ENTER>
3. At the C:\> prompt, type deltree lotus<ENTER>
4. Answer yes to delete all subdirectories by typing y<ENTER>
5. When it is done, type exit<ENTER> to return to windows
6. From the Windows95 desktop, right click on a blank section of the task bar
7. Click on properties
8. Click on start menu programs
9. Click on remove
10. Highlight Lotus Smart Center and then click on remove
11. Click yes when it asks are you sure
