ISDN-S0 Active 2000 Adapter - Loading the OS/2 driver causes the notebook to crash

Problem:
When loading the OS/2 Active 2000 driver with the PCMCIA card in the socket, or plugging the card in the socket after booting the notebook but with the driver
loaded causes the notebook to hardware crash.

Solution:

  1. Boot the notebook without the PCMCIA card in the socket.
  2. Go into the "ISDN Active 2000" folder and start "Active 2000 Configurator".
  3. On the "Adapter 1" tab, set "Interrupt" and "I/O Address" to "AUTO".
  4. Close the configuration program and confirm the saving of the configuration.
  5. Shutdown and reboot.
