PS/1 - Voltage Selection Switch Shipped In wrong Position
Applicable to: World-Wide
Service Information:
A small quantity of PS/1 Models 2133-540, 2133-550,2133-551 or 2133-571 may have reached the field with the voltage selection switch ( located at the rear of the system unit ) INCORRECTLY set to the 115 volt position. If these models are connected to mains with a rated voltage of 220,230 OR 240 volts the power supply inside of the system unit may emit smoke and be destroyed.
To avoid damage to any of the system units, dealers and IBM CE personnel should verify that the voltage selection switch is set to the 230 volt position prior to installation.
