IBM 3153 ASCII Terminal Display - Screen goes blank

Symptom:
The 3153 screen goes blank or blanks out.
Background Information:
The 3153 offers 'Screen Saver' feature. When the 3153 is not used for extended periods of time, the 3153 enters 'Screen Saver' mode. 'Screen Saver' is a feature offered on terminals to reduce phosphor bun, thus extending the life of the 3153.
Persons can set Screen saver to 2, 5, 15 and 30 minutes in the 3153 setup menu.
Recommended Solution:
If 'Screen Saver' is not desired, enter 3153 setup menus. Change 'Screen Saver'='Off' in the F2 (General) Setup Menu.
Note:
When configured for IBM 3151 emulation, IBM 3151 Set Control 2 Command controls the 'Screen Saver' setup option.
