Aptiva-PS/1 - Information about Microsoft Products on America Online

Applicable to: United States

Users of the America Online service can benefit from the information contained in a large database maintained by Microsoft called Microsoft Knowledge Base. Each article can be viewed, printed, and/or sent to a disk using "File" on the menu bar within the Knowledge Base. The database contains about 18,000 articles on Works, Word, Excel, Windows, DOS and other MS products. It is the same database that Microsoft support engineers use when answering customers' questions.

To access the Microsoft Knowledge Base from America Online, follow these steps:

1) Sign on to America Online.

2) Select "Keyword" from the menu bar.

3) Type "Knowledgebase" and click on GO.

4) Type in your search word(s) and press [Enter].
