5250 Emulation PCMCIA Adapter - Configuring the adapter using the Point Enabler

1. At DOS prompt go to the c:\enb5250 directory and type in HWCONFIG <ENTER>.
2. Choose "Select Adapter Type".
3. Move the arrow keys and select "IBM 5250 Emulation PCMCIA Adapter".
4a. The program will tell you that an initial configuration is being created.
4b. It will then ask if you want to add "set enb5250" to your autoexec.bat.
5. Move the arrow keys and select "Change Adapter Configuration".
6. Select "Change PCMCIA Support".
7. Select "Point Enable"
8. Select "Change PCMCIA Controller Type"
This selection will vary depending on your machine type. For example, if you have a Thinkpad, choose IBM Thinkpad. If you have a Sharp or Toshiba notebook, choose the respective one for yours. If you don't know , choose the INTEL option.
9. Hit escape on the change PCMCIA Controller screen.
10. Select "Change 5250 Emulation PCMCIA Adapter".
11. Select hte socket location, the I/O port, the memory segment and the IRQ.
12. Hit escape until you get to the "5250 Adapter configuration" menu.
13. Say yes to save changes to the configuration.
