TP 755,760,765 - Disabling the the Mwave modem under Windows 95
Applicable to: World-Wide
To disable the MWave modem in Windows 95 do the following:
1) Click on "Start".
2) Click on "Settings".
3) Click on "Control Panel".
4) Double-Click on the "System" icon.
5) Click on the "Device Manager" tab.
6) Scroll through the list until you see the " + Modem".
7) Click on the " + " plus sign, and you should see "IBM Thinkpad 28.8 Mwave Data Fax".
8) Click to highlight "IBM Thinkpad 28.8 Mwave Data Fax".
9) Click on the "Remove" button.
10) Answer, you WANT to remove it from all configurations, (when prompted).
Note: Depending on the version of MWave installed, the listing you see under Modem may be slightly different. (i.e. if you have the 33.6 upgrade installed then it would say "IBM ThinkPad 33.6 ....."
