Warranty Service: Customer Carry-In Exchange (CCE) via Mail-In
If warranty service is required, the customer should call local IBM Service 1-800-IBM-SERV in the US (1-800-426-7378). IBM will assist the customer with problem determination and if a replacement unit is needed, IBM will deliver the unit by courier.
Alternate Service: IBM On-Site Exchange (IOE)
This is the same as warranty exchange, except the IBM service representative will exchange the unit for the customer.
Maintenance Service
Customer Carry-In Exchange via Mail-In or IBM On-Site Exchange is offered. In some countries ServicePacs are available for Warranty and Maintenance ServicePac for warranty and maintenance options provide convenient pre-packaged offerings for warranty service upgrades. These ServicePacs provide a higher level of service than that provided under the basic IBM machine warranty. Options vary based on the ServicePac purchased and are specific to the machines/products listed.
