Aptiva - Creation of shortcut icon in Windows 95 or 98

To access a specific file from the Windows 95 or 98 desktop, do the following:
1. Install the application (if this has already been done, go to step #2).
2. Go to START -> PROGRAMS -> WINDOWS EXPLORER, and click once with the left mouse button.
3. Find the directory name of the installed application in the directory tree on the left side of the screen, titled ALL FOLDERS, or search for it on the right side of the screen, titled CONTENTS. Double-click on the directory's folder.
4. On the right side of the screen (CONTENTS) find the executable file's name and drag its icon onto the desktop by holding down the right mouse button.
5. Release the right mouse button when the icon is over a clear spot on the desktop.
6. From the pop-up menu, choose CREATE SHORTCUT HERE.
To activate the application, double-click on its icon on the desktop.
