This modem is unique to the ThinkPad 760 and the upgrade codes for this series can only be used for the 760. The modem for the ThinkPad 760 supports 28.8 Kbps with full audio features and 33.6 with minimal audio features. The Advanced Communications Processor in the ThinkPad 770 is a faster more powerful modem that will allow you to connect at speeds of up to 56.6 Kbps
