Aptiva - How To enable 'Check keyboard activity' and 'Check mouse activity' in the Setup Utility

Use the following instructions to check the Setup Utility for Advanced Power Management (APM) settings and change them if desired.
1. When you first turn on your system, you will see an IBM Aptiva logo, Press [F1] to enter the Setup Utility.
2. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Rapid Resume (or Power Management) section of the Setup Utility. Press [Enter].
3. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Check Keyboard and Mouse Activity entry.
NOTE: On some systems, select the Rapid Resume Advanced Options, and there are Check Keyboard Activity and Check Mouse Activity entries. On other systems, these settings are not available; keyboard and mouse activity are always enabled in this case.
4. To change the setting, use the left or right arrow key. The setting can be [Enabled] or [Disabled].
5. Press [Esc] after you have made the desired changes. Press [Esc] again, and select Yes, save and exit the Setup Utility. Press [Enter] to leave the Setup Utility and restart the computer.
