TP 1400, 1720 - Applications that are supposed to come with the computer are not installed

SYMPTOM:
The applications stated as coming with the ThinkPad i Series are not installed on the hard drive.
CONFIGURATION:
Any ThinkPad i Series 1400 or 1720.
SOLUTION:
The applications did not come preloaded on the hard drive of these systems. These applications however can be installed using the ThinkPad Customization CD that was provided with the computer. To install these applications, follow the instructions outlined below:
1. Insert the ThinkPad Customization CD into the CD-ROM drive (the CD will automatically start).
2. Click on System Customization.
3. Click on the ThinkPad Software Select Wizard icon.
4. Click on the application that you wish to install.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the application. Note: some applications are provided with their own installation CD and you will be requested to install the application from this CD.
