Home and Away Credit Card Adapter - Product Support

Situation:
The Home and Away PCMCIA, a US/Canada product release only, was announced on June 20th 1995 and shipped on July 28, 1995. Effective April 19, 1996, the Home and Away PCMCIA was withdrawn from marketing. As of September 30th, 1996, IBM no longer provides telephone support (free) for this card except in cases where the card is defective (i.e. hardware problem in the product). In the event of hardware defects, the card will be replaced.

Solution:
For DOS, Windows 3.x, and OS/2
The drivers to use for Home and Away under DOS, Windows 3.x & OS/2 is available under the file name of ETCCHA.EXE
The file can also be obtained from the IBM PC Company File Repository at (919) 517-0001, or at:

For Windows 95
The drivers to use for Home and Away under Windows 95 is available under the file name of HAWIN95.EXE.
NOTE: HAWIN95.EXE is not a supported driver. It is provided on an "AS IS" basis only.

This executable creates several files that will lead to the creation of 2 diskettes:

Disk 1- drivers and diagnostics
Disk 2 - Novell client

For Windows NT
There is NO plan to get a Windows NT driver for Home and Away.

Note - This product has been withdrawn. Effective April 19, 1996, IBM withdrew the Home and Away products from marketing. After that date, the card is no longer available directly from IBM.
