Servers - PC ServeRAID II and cable connections

The ServeRAID II card uses .8mm external SCSI connections. All existing external cables prior to the ServeRAID II announcement will not work. Converters to the new .8mm connection on older cables are not supported.
The ServeRAID II announcement states that the .8mm cables may be used externally. Only these cables will work on the ServeRAID II.

The IBM DASD Status Cable is required when installing the ServeRAID II adapter in PC Server 320, 330, 520, and 720 models. This cable provides the necessary interface to control the disk drive status LED in the hot-swap drive bay when a defunct drive is detected.
