ATAPI Interface Channels:
NOTE: Aptiva Intrepid/Defiant Models with Zip ships with the HDD as the MASTER on the PRIMARY channel and the ZIP as SLAVE on the SECONDARY channel. The CD-ROM is a MASTER on the SECONDARY channel.

-The MASTER drive on the PRIMARY must be the boot drive, Drive C.
-If the Zip is to be the PRIMARY boot drive for the computer (Drive C) it must be configured as the MASTER on the PRIMARY channel.
-When configured as a MASTER drive the Zip drive will support either a second Zip ATA or ATAPI drive installed in the SLAVE configuration or an ATA hard drive configured as a SLAVE.
-When configured as a SLAVE drive, ZIP must be daisy-chained to a MASTER drive.
