Aptiva - How to make an Aptiva a dedicated fax machine

Question:
How do I make my Aptiva a dedicated Fax Machine?
Answer:
For Models Mxx, Axx, Cxx only.
If you would like to disable the Out Going Message, and make Communication Center always receive faxes, follow the following steps.
1.) Bring up the MWAVE Discriminator by clicking on "Start" , "Run" , and type in C:\MWW\DISCRIM\DISCAPP.EXE.
2.) Go to "OPTIONS", then "SETTINGS".
3.) At settings, input your area code. Make sure the fax machine graphic is displayed. Also make sure there is not an X in the "ENABLE INITIAL GREETING"
4.) Click on "OK". Minimize the discriminator.
5.) Open Communication Center.
6.) Click on "SETTINGS" at the Operator. Go to Answering Machine. Put an "X" in the "ENABLE ANSWERING MACHINE" box. Leave the other two boxes empty. "WAIT" should be set for two rings.
7.) Close SETTINGS.
8.) At the operator, click on "TELEPHONE" (make sure DND is not lit).
9.) Go to Mailboxes and double click on the General Mailbox At the "Message Center". Click on "Greeting" button. (This will give you the "Change Greeting " screen). Click on "IMPORT". (This will give the "OPEN" screen).
10.) Double click on "C:\". Scroll down to MWW. Double click on "DISCRIM". (This will list the .VOI files on the left hand side of the screen). Highlight "DISGREET.VOI". Then click on "OK". (You will be put back at the "CHANGE GREETING" screen).
11.) Click on done. (You will then be at the "MESSAGE CENTER"). Click on done. Now your system will not give an OGM, instead, it will treat any incoming calls as faxes.
