TP 600 - Getting "interrupts error" when running Winbench 98 or Winstone 98
Applicable to: World-Wide
SYMPTOM:
Getting an "interrupts error" when running Winbench 98 or Winstone 98.
CONFIGURATION:
Any ThinkPad 600.
SOLUTION:
To work around this you will need to manually set the processor speed and processor type. Incorrect settings for the processor speed and/or type may also cause the benchmark report to be erroneous. The processor speed may be reported as varying with the incorrect settings. To set the processor speed:
1. From the Intro Screen select Edit
2. Select System Info
3. Click the General tab
4. Set the correct speed.
5. Set the correct processor type (This information is used on for the report generation. You can leave this as the default value or change it to make more sense for you).
7. Click the APPLY button.
8. Click OK
If an error occurs during the Business Task Switching test, you should turn off the 'Task Switching 2' test. You should uncheck this item from the list of tests. Ziff-Davis has assured us that this test is not used in the benchmark calculation and can be turned off without affecting the results.
