TP 755,760 - Mwave How to Determine the version Installed
Applicable to: World-Wide
Method #1):
Check the MWAVE.INI file. (BEST METHOD.)
-
MWAVE.INI is in the C:\MWD, C:\WINDOWS, or C:\MWAVEOS2 directory.
- look for the "OEM=" line in the "[INSTALL]" section towards the bottom of the MWAVE.INI file.
- It will say "OEM=Thinkpad Release x.x". x.x is the version of MWave you are running.
Note: the line "DAA=Thinkpad DAA Update version x.xx" indicates version of the "MWave country support disk" you are running.
Method #2:
Run MWLEVELS program.
- MWLEVELS is in the C:\MWW\MANAGER directory.
- This method only shows the version of the Windows MWave driver, not the DOS MWave driver.
- For Windows 3.1x, it is vital that the MWave drivers be at the same level for DOS and Windows.
- For Windows95, different MWave levels for DOS and Windows can be on the machine.
Method #3:
Run MWAVE Quicktest applet.
- This applet is only available with the MWave 2.22 code. Older versions don't have it.
- Starting the Quicktest applet will display the MWave version you are running (i.e. 2.22).
