PS/1-Aptiva - Can I select specific records from my Works database to print?

Yes. There are two ways to print out specific records within your database. You can perform a query on your database if all of the records that you want to print have something in common. Or, you can "Hide" the records that you do not want to print.
Follow the steps below to "Hide" records:
1. Open your database.
2. If the database is not currently in List View, choose VIEW from the menu bar and select LIST.
3. Highlight the record that you DO NOT want to print.
4. Choose SELECT from the menu bar and select HIDE RECORDS.
The record that contained the highlight will no longer appear on your screen. Now, you can repeat steps 3 and 4 to continue hiding records. If you have a group of records together, highlight the group of records and repeat step 4.
At this point, you can open your word processing file for labels or form letters and print only the records that are being displayed in your database. After you have finished printing, you can display all records in your database by choosing SELECT from the menu bar and choosing SHOW ALL RECORDS.
If you want to print only a couple of records, try the following:
1. Highlight the record(s) you want to print.
2. Choose SELECT from the menu bar and choose HIDE RECORDS.
3. Then, choose SELECT again and pick SWITCH HIDDEN RECORDS.
The above steps will allow you to quickly select a couple of records to be used when printing.
