TP 701 - Setting Jumpers For IDE CD-ROM In TP Dock II
Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom:
The OBI 4X Slim CD Rom for Dock 1 & 2 is the same drive that is used in the 760ED, but is mounted in an adapter kit that attaches to the IDE connector in Dock-2. It is configured as a Slave device by default, and for 75X, 76X, and 360 systems it will work fine without making any changes.
The 701, however, requires that any IDE device in Dock-2 be configured as a Master.
Problem Isolation Aid:
None
Solution:
Here are the settings to make the change on either type of drive. (You can tell them apart as one has jumpers and one has switches)
