Aptiva - 2158 Considerations - Cannot complete POST with DVD disk in CD-ROM drive

Description:
Insert a DVD disc into a system with CD-ROM, POST cannot complete.
Models affected:
2158-500
How to duplicate:
Acer has tried several times and could not reproduce. The original Bug was reported using an AOL CD.
Root cause:
It is possible that BIOS identified this as a bootable CD-ROM. Many changes have been made to the IDE detection algorithm since the issue was first reported.
Workaround:
Remove DVD title and reboot the machine
