Aptiva - 2140/2142 Considerations - ScrollPoint Mouse

Mouseware Uninstall error message. Detail: When you Uninstall Mouseware, it will display a message prompting the user to restart to complete the process. Upon restarting, and error message is displayed (in DOS session) stating: "Please wait while Mouseware 95 Version 2.2a Uninstall updates your configuration files. Invalid path, not directory, or directory not empty". Then the installation continues into windows fine. Under Control Panel -> mouse, all of the information appears to be removed correctly. Answer / Workaround: This is a limitation of the Mouseware Uninstall application. Although this message is displayed (very briefly), the UnInstall and furture ReInstalls work properly. Simply disregard the message. Severity: 4 Preload(s): Both

Mouse uninstall error message. Detail: After Uninstalling Mouseware, the user is prompted to restart Windows, upon restart, the following error message is displayed on the screen (DOS screen before Win95 GUI loads): "Please wait while Mouseware 95 Version 2.2a Uninstall updates your configuration files. Invalid path, not directory, or directory not empty". Answer / Workaround: This error message is only displayed very briefly during the restart during Uninstall. It does not occur on any subsequent reboots. Uninstallation completed successfully, also, Install/ReInstall following the error works properly. This is a limitation of the Uninstall application.
