P50 Monitors - DDC check sum code

Service Information:
A number of 6553-503 monitors have been distributed with a wrong check sum code.This can result in a power up diagnostic error on systems that support DDC and the DDC function is enabled. The affected monitors are model 6553-503 (only) with serial numbers in the 2300001 to 2308886 range. The monitor and system will function normally if the DDC is disabled. A solution for this problem is being formulated and will be distributed by an update to this information.
