Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom:
A user experiences difficulty in enabling or using IDE devices either in the Ultrabay of the Thinkpad or in the IDE bay of a SelectaDock Docking Station. Resource assignment problems may also be a symptom of incorrect IDE settings, as IDE resource usage is dependent on how the IDE channels are configured.

Solution
Refer to the IDE Device configuration tips located in the document, "Thinkpad 770 Users Guide Supplement".
