IBM PC300GL (Type 6265, 6275, 6285)/PC300PL (Type 6862, 6892) - Edmark KidDesk color palette corruption

SYMPTOM:
After starting Edmark KidDesk software, the entire logo screen background is intermittently displayed in the color brown. It should have a brown frame displayed around the software information.

Also any time a KidDesk window is sent to the background, the screen may display incorrect colors. This has been known to occur with other applications and is not limited to Edmark KidDesk application.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
This problem has been observed when using Windows 95/98 and occurs when 256-color mode is selected.

FIX:
Select higher then 256-color mode.
From the desktop, select Start, Settings, Control Panel, Display Icon. Once Icon opens, select the settings Tab. Make the color changes from this tab.
