TP General - How to enable/disable presentation mode

Applicable to: World-Wide

How to enable/disable Presentation Mode on a ThinkPad 365X/XD, 380, 385, 560, 760 and 765.

You must have the Thinkpad Utilities installed.

*DOS:
1. Turn on the Thinkpad and start DOS.
2. Type cd\thinkpad and press Enter.
3. Type PS2 PRESEN E and press Enter to Enable Presentation Mode (turns timers off) or Type PS2 PRESEN D and press Enter to disable Presentation Mode (turns timers on.) This change is immediate (no need to restart.)

*Windows 3.1x (you can also use the DOS instructions):
1. Turn the Thinkpad on and start Windows 3.1x.
2. Double click on the Thinkpad Group icon.
3. Double click on the Thinkpad Features icon.
4. Click on the LCD/External Monitor icon (looks like a monitor.)
5. Click on Enter next to enable Presentation mode. This change is immediate (no need to restart.)

*Windows 95:
1. Turn on the Thinkpad and start Windows 95.
2. Click on Start+Programs+Thinkpad.
3. Double click on the Thinkpad Features icon.
4. Click on the LCD/External Monitor icon (looks like a monitor.)
5. Click on Enter next to enable Presentation mode. This change is immediate (no need to restart.)

*OS/2 Warp:
1. Turn the Thinkpad on and start OS/2 Warp.
2. Double click on the Thinkpad Group icon.
3. Double click on the Thinkpad Features icon.
4. Click on the LCD/External Monitor icon (looks like a monitor.)
5. Click on Enter next to enable Presentation mode. This change is immediate (no need to restart.)

Note: This document applies to the X/XD models of the 365 systems which are the following: 1E9,2E9,3E9,4E9,6E3,6E7,7E7,DEE,EDF,EEF,ERF,FE9,FR9,GE9,GR9.
