PS/1-Aptiva - Microsoft Works - Accessing different files

You can open and work with up to eight files at a time from within Microsoft Works.
To do this:
1. Click on File
2. Click on Open Existing File...
3. Search through the appropriate drives and folders for the file you wish to open
4. When a file is found, double-click on it to open it
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as necessary to open more files.
When you have multiple documents open, they overlap one another and can be difficult to manage, particularly if you try to move the individual windows around. There is a quick method for selecting each open document. Click on "Window" on the Microsoft Works toolbar. This will open a drop-down menu which lists, in the lower half of the menu, the currently open documents on the Microsoft Works desktop. Click on the document name that you wish to bring to the top of the stack of document windows. Use this process each time you want to switch to another document.
