TP 600E - Considerations for Windows 98

Below is a list of considerations for running Windows 98 on your ThinkPad 600E
- Screen becomes blank for 45 seconds after suspend or resume with SelectaBase PC Card Enabler with advanced EtherJet function when it is not connected to Ethernet. This happens under Windows 98 APM mode
- Modem does not work after suspend or resume.
- Alarm sound of Low/Critical battery cannot be changed.
- System cannot enter suspend mode when PCMCIA combo cards are installed in the system.
- Under some conditions, the system may hang when changing device settings. This happens under Windows 98 APM mode.
- Windows Protection Error occurs in some conditions when reconfiguring a Megahertz Combo manually with Device Manager.
- Screen stays blank for 20-25 seconds when installed in a SelectaDock III after resuming from suspend mode when Windows 98 APM mode.
- Modem s/w does not work after RI resume when VPN (Virtual Private Network) program is installed.
