Aptiva - Disabling AutoLogon on Windows 95

In order to enable networking on your Aptiva Personal Computer, you must first enable the "Logon" capability in
Windows 95.
WARNING!!!!!! WARNING!!!!!! WARNING!!!!!! WARNING!!!!!! WARNING!!!!!! WARNING!!!!!! WARNING!!!
The following procedure uses "Regedit", which can be extremely hazardous to use. Follow these instructions to the letter. Otherwise, you may completely destroy the software on you hard drive.
Instructions:
1. Click on Start.
2. Click on Run
3. Type REGEDIT and press [Enter]
4. Click Edit
5. Click Find
6. Type 'autologon' and press [ENTER]
7. 'autologon' will appear, and be highlighted. Press [ENTER]
8. You will see a window appear with numbers in it, BE VERY CAREFUL!
9. Hit the delete key on the keyboard 1 time only.
10. Type '00' (that is the zero not the letter 'O'.)
11. Press [ENTER]
12. Click on Registry
13. Click on Exit
You are done!
-Again, please be very careful using REGEDIT and do not go into it unless you have clear-cut instructions on what to do. One accidental key stroke can ruin your software and require you to reload your system! Make sure you have backed up your personal files before using the REGEDIT command.
