The procedure to add DOS to the Aptiva:

2. Backup your c:\autoexec.bat and c:\config.sys by typing:
"copy autoexec.bat autoexec.w95" and press [Enter]
"copy config.sys config.w95" and press [Enter]
3. Install DOS on the Aptiva. Bootup the Aptiva using the first DOS disk and follow the instructions.
4. After installing DOS, bootup the Aptiva with the Windows 95 startup disk.
Type "sys c:" to transfer the Windows 95 boot system back to disk C.
5. Edit the c:\msdos.sys file by changing "BootMulti=0" to "BootMulti=1"
6. When booting Windows 95, look for the "STARTING WINDOWS 95" statement in the upper left hand corner, you have 2 seconds to press F8 to select Booting to Previous Version of DOS.
