Aptiva - How to rename the IBM Update Connector DLLs to correct difference between versions
Applicable to: World-Wide
1. From the "Start" Menu, choose "Programs".
2. Click on "MS-DOS Prompt."
Warning: the following lines ARE case sensitive! (JAVA uses upper and lower case.)
3. Type: CD\UPDATER\JAVA\LIB and press "Enter".
4. Type: RENAME SSCLAS~1.ZIP SSCLASSES.ZIP and press "Enter".
5. Type: CD\UPDATER and press "Enter".
6. Type: RENAME IBM_UP~1.DLL ibm_upgrader_tools.dll and press "Enter" (note: it has lower case as well as upper case letters).
NOTE: Depending on which version of Update Connector is installed, you may receive an error at this point... Please ignore the error if you do get it.
7. Type: RENAME COMMON~1.DLL CommonTools.dll and press "Enter" (note: it has lower case as well as upper case letters).
