Aptiva - How to install / uninstall the Aptiva Helper

To delete the Aptiva Helper from your system follow these steps:
1. From the Windows 95 desktop, click on "START", then "SHUTDOWN", then click on yes.
2. When the computer reaches c:\windows, type cd\ and press <ENTER>
3. At the C:\ prompt type deltree helper and press <ENTER>
4. Answer yes to delete all subdirectories
5. To remove the icon, drag the icon to the recycle bin using the left mouse button.
To install \ reinstall Aptiva Helper perform the following:
NOTE: You must first download the Aptiva Restore Utility (APTRSTOR.EXE) to complete this procedure.
Please review the "README.TXT" file which comes with the Utility.
1. From the Windows95 desktop, click on "START", then "SHUTDOWN", then click on yes.
2. Insert the Aptiva Product Recovery CD into cd rom drive label side up.
3. Type RESTORE \HELPER\*.*, then press <ENTER>.
4. When process is finished, remove the CD from the drive, then press [ctrl] [alt] & [del] at the same time to restart the computer.
5. The Aptiva Helper software is now on your hard disk.
