TP 390,390E,1720 - PCMCIA Slots Removal

The following information is intended for IBM Dealers and Authorized Servicers only. Customers attempting to follow any of the procedures below may void their warranty.

• Battery ASM
• Hard Disk Drive
• Keyboard
• Upper Heatsink

To remove the PCMCIA slots:
1. Remove the three screws securing the PCMCIA slot board.

Step	Size (Quantity)	Head & Color	Torque
1	M2 x 18L (3)	Pan head, black	2.0 kgf-cm

Note: Make sure you use the correct screw for replacement.

2. Use a flat-bladed screwdriver to disconnect the PCMCIA card from the connector.

3. Carefully remove the PCMCIA card.

CAUTION:
When reassembling this section of the machine, the upper heatsink must be reassembled first before the PCMCIA slots.
