TP General - How to properly align the infrared ports
Applicable to: World-Wide
This applies to any ThinkPad with an infrared port.
The infrared ports should be lined up straight and not at an angle. It is best to have low lighting and should not be farther then 3 feet apart. Do not place the two ports closer then 6 inches together.
If you experience problems, ensure both infrared port lenses are clean, also ensure there are no physical obstructions between the two units.
