PC Server 320 - Netfinity Manager hangs when Adaptec SCSI BIOS is disabled
Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom
Netfinity hangs when Adaptec SCSI BIOS is disabled fro 'Extended BIOS Translation for DOS Drives>1GB'.
Resolution
The 'Extended BIOS TRanslation for DOS Drives>1GB' option found in the Adaptec BIOS is enabled by default from the factory and should be left enabled regardless of the operating system installed on that drive.
If you change the setting from disabled to enabled or vice versa, you need to use FDISK to repartition all attached SCSI drives. A low level format is not needed.
