Long term test drops frames

Detail:
To recreate the problem:
1. Start DVD movie that will loop
2. After long periods of time (2-10hrs), frame rate will drop to 15fps for 1-2 minute intervals.

Answer / Workaround:
This item is caused by a bug in the DirectShow drivers from Microsoft. Future versions of DirectShow/Win98 will resolve issue. Workaround: Reboot machine after long period of time.

Mediamatics player crashes if user changes language

Detail:
While playing a DVD movie, if you click on the root menu/result buttons a menu is displayed for you to make a selection. Select "language selection", then click "Next" on Spoken language and caption and subtitles. Select Spanish as the language. Next click "return to movie". The movie should play for about 15 seconds before showing the error message. If the error message does not show up, click on spoken language again and select Spanish again and click "return to movie".

The Mediamatics DVD player crashes after the user changes the language support. Windows 95 reports the following error: MDVDplay caused an invalid page fault in module DVDExpress AV decoder.dll at 0157:600055F0.

Answer / Workaround:
Workaround: Use context menu from the toolbar on top of screen to change language instead of DVD menu.

Mediamatics player displays video corruption when playing MPEG2 movies.

Detail:
The Mediamatics DVD player displays video corruption or Macroblock when playing a MpegII file from the hard disk. This can be done by copying the .VOB file(s) from the DVD drive to the Harddrive to be run without the DVD available.

Answer / Workaround:
There are no workarounds for this issue, this playing MPEG2 files from the HardDrive is not permitted and the DVD copy protection is causing the corruption.

Running AudioStation causes DVD player to stop working.

Detail:
During playing DVD video , run AudioStation's record function. The screen of DVD player playing will stop playing. To recreate this issue:
1. Restart the system.
2. Press Start button.
3. Point "Program =>Mediamatics DVD Express => Mediamatics DVD player" then click it to run .
4.Open AudioStation program and play record function. Then the screen of the DVD player playing will stop playing.

Answer / Workaround:
Start AudioStation first, then launch the movie player.

The function of "Fast Forward" and "Rewind" are incorrect while playing DVD.

Detail:
The function of "Fast Forward" and "Rewind" are incorrect while playing DVD in 1024x768 (24bit) mode.
1. Set the resolution as 1024x768 (24 bit true color).
2. Open mediamatics DVD Player and play DVD video.
3. Press the "<<" or ">>" button on the control panel of DVD Player while playing DVD. The frame rate which DVD Player played will drop.

Answer / Workaround:
To resolve this issue, modify the system resolution / color depth (max supported is 1024x768x16bit).

The words on the dialog window attached "Mediamatics DVD Player Help" are broken.

Detail:
1. Open the "Mediamatics DVD Player" from "Start=>Programs=>Mediamatics DVD Express".
2. Click "?" button on the control panel of DVD Player.
3. Text 1/3 down the page is difficult to read

There are no workarounds for this issue.
