Aptiva - How can I save my current Windows desktop?

This information applies only to PS/1 or Aptiva models preloaded with Windows 3.1.
On PS/1 and Aptiva models preloaded with Windows 3.1, there is an option to save the current Windows desktop. This option allows you to make changes to the original desktop and then save it as a backup copy. This provides a way to restore the saved customized desktop should the current desktop become corrupted.
To save your desktop:
1. Power up the system.
2. Once Windows has started, open the PS/1 Tools or Aptivaware group.
3. Double-click on the PS/1 Fitness or Personal Desktop icon.
4. Double-click on the Windows Reset or Personal desktop icon.
5. Click once on the Save button.
6. Enter a name for the custom desktop you are saving, if prompted.
7. Click once on OK to save the current (custom) desktop.
You can now choose between the "Original" or "Custom" Windows desktop configuration if you ever need to restore the desktop.
