PS/1-Aptiva - How to use documents created in word processors other than Works

You can use files created in other word processing programs, such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, DisplayWrite, and MultiMate. These files, if saved in ASCII or "Text" format, can be opened and edited within Works without conversion.
Note: Text (ASCII) files do not save formatting, such as tabs, bold, italics, or justified alignment.
It is possible to preserve the formatting in the file; however, it must be in one of the file formats recognized by Works: Microsoft Word format, Microsoft Interchange Rich Text Format (RTF), IBM Document Architecture (DCA) format. If the file was created in WordPerfect, you must use WordPerfect's file conversion utility to convert the file to DCA format before you can convert the file to Works format.
If the file is in Word, RTF, or DCA formats, you will need the "Works Conversion and Supplemental Setup Kit".
After installing the Conversion program (WPTOWP), you can convert your documents by selecting File from the menu bar and choosing Convert.
