TP General - External monitor appears fuzzy

SYMPTOM:
An external monitor appears fuzzy.

CONFIGURATION:
Any external display attached to a ThinkPad directly or through a docking station or port replicator running Windows 95 or Windows 98.

SOLUTION:

• Ensure that the latest level of the MONITOR.INF file is installed. Check with the manufacturer of the display to see if there is an updated file for Windows 95 or Windows 98 support.
• Ensure that the refresh rate is setup for the proper value that the monitor can support. For instructions on how to change the refresh rates, click here.
