IBM Monitor flicker on certain displays
Applicable to: World-Wide
Service Information:
Flicker can occur on IBM 63XX and 952X Displays. This is due to brightness modulation at LOW refresh rates , influenced by the persistence of phosphor used. IBM 63XX and 952X displays are capable of "FLICKER FREE" operation. However systems and software MUST be configured to run the flicker free modes; typically with vertical refresh rates of greater than 70Hz.
For information on enabling these modes please refer to the 'Read me First' documentation shipped with the products and the relevant system manual which explains system configuration and software requirements. Software device driver diskettes are shipped with the system.
