IBM PC300PL - Cancelling ProSet100 ethernet diagnostics hangs system

SYMPTOM:
After starting the INTEL Proset100 diagnostics to test the onboard ethernet adapter, cancelling the operation on the last panel causes the system to hang.
PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
None
FIX:
After starting the Proset100 ethernet diagnostics, allow the tests to complete normally. Do not select cancel.
