IBM WorkPad - Deleting E-Mail
Applicable to: United States
Recovering Deleted E-Mail Messages from cc:Mail After HotSyncing
SYMPTOM:
E-mail messages were deleted from a WorkPad and then HotSynced to a PC. Surprisingly, those messages were also deleted from cc:mail and were not recoverable from the cc:Mail's Trash.
SOLUTION:
Where e-mail messages on the Pilot are accidentally deleted, archived such messages in the cc:Mail before attempting a HotSync.
Note: Once e-mail messages are deleted from WorkPad and a HotSynced occurs, those messages are not recoverable. They will not reappear in the deleted mailbox of WorkPad or in the trash bin of cc:Mail on the desktop
E-Mail not Deleted from cc:Mail Inbox
SYMPTOM:
Several Email messages were deleted from a WorkPad, yet after Hotsyncing to a PC, the deleted files reappeared in the cc:Mail inbox
SOLUTION:
Refresh the cc:Mail Inbox by clicking on the Go to Inbox button from the tool bar or Windows menu, or quit cc:mail and then restart it. In version 7.0 of cc:Mail, this problem has been resolved.
Note: Even though the e-mail messages you deleted are still showing up in the cc:Mail Inbox, those messages were actually deleted when you HotSynced.
