Aptiva - Converting from SuperStor/DS to Stacker
Applicable to: United States
If you are installing PC-DOS 7.0 on your system, Stacker will be able to use your SuperStor/DS compressed drives without a problem. During installation, Stacker will offer to convert the SuperStor/DS drive to the Stacker format, and it is recommended that this be done. This will provide you with better disk compression in most cases, plus it will allow the Stacker driver to be loaded in CONFIG.SYS to replace the DBLSPACE.BIN driver. This will result in a substantial decrease in the amount of memory needed for the driver.
