IBM PC330/PC350 - 8MB memory problem

Applicable to: World-Wide

Symptom:
End users may experience hangs and/or trap C, D or E errors in OS/2environment (or other memory demanding OS, eg. Windows NT or Windows 95) if system board contains ALL of following memory components:

1. 8MB P/N 05H0906 and date code of "V3AJ", "V3AT" or "V3AQ" on label
2. TI memory buffer chips (on which printed Texas State outline and letters 'TI' inside). Referring to diagram below, there are 8 locations for the memory buffer chips labelled as (1), ..., (8). Look for TI memory buffer chips soldered on board with description above.
