PROBLEM:
1.) If the language selection is changed on the fly, some of the icon names tend to become corrupted. This is not consistent, but it occurs most often with the PCMCIA icon under the system information tests. It corrects itself upon shutting down the application and reopening it. It also corrects itself inconsistently if the language selection is changed again on the fly.
2.) Modem Test reports a failure when no phone line is connected.

CONFIGURATION:
ThinkPad 390, i Series 1720 using PC Doctor version 2.1.214.
NOTE:
If you have PC Doctor v2.1.253 installed, you do NOT need this fix.

SOLUTION:
1.) Download the above diskette, and run the program to build the diskette.
2.) Copy the files from the diskette to the failing system:
- If the PC Doctor application is running, close it.
- Open a MS-DOS Prompt
- run the following DOS command:
COPY A:\*.* C:\PROGRA~1\PCDOCTOR
If prompted to overwrite any files, say YES.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
If running the Modem Test with no phone line attached to the system, it will report a failure. After installing this fix, the test will pass so long as no other problems are detected.
