Aptiva - The "Divide By Zero" error message

The "Divide by Zero" error message usually means that either your software program or Windows has tried to attempt something it cannot or should not do. When this error occurs it is best to exit from Windows and reboot your system by pressing [CTRL-ALT-DEL]. To prevent this error message from recurring, increase the FILES and BUFFERS statement in your CONFIG.SYS file. To do this, perform the following:
1.) From Program Manager click on the File menu option, then click on Run.
2.) In the box type SYSEDIT. This is the System Configuration Editor and will allow you to make changes to your CONFIG.SYS.
3.) Select the CONFIG.SYS window and bring it to the front.
4.) Edit the two statements below to read:
FILES=40
BUFFERS=25
5.) Select File from the menu bar and choose Save.
6.) Select File from the menu bar again and choose Exit.
Lastly, you will need to exit Windows and reboot your system. This is necessary in order for the changes you made to be read. If the problem continues you may need to reinstall the program.
