Aptiva - Video/Graphics driver reload instructions for systems with Windows 95 OSR-2
Applicable to: United States
To begin debugging problems related to video do the following:
1. Go to DISPLAY PROPERTIES by right clicking the mouse on the wallpaper. Click on ADVANCED PROPERTIES. You should see at this point ATI Tabs on the Display Properties settings.
2. If these tabs are not present, the proper ATI Video drivers are not loaded and numerous problems can occur.
3. To add the correct ATI Video Drivers Click on CHANGE.
4. Click on HAVE DISK. When the "install from disk" dialog box opens type "C:\windows\options\cabs" in the "Copy manufacture's files from" line. Click OK.
5. Select the appropriate driver.
6. Click APPLY.
7. Click OK.
8. Click APPLY.
9. Restart the computer. This will reinstall the original default driver.
