Aptiva - 2163/2164 Considerations - Fatal error on reboot

Description:
After rebooting about 200 times, system will get fatal error message with blue screen when system is booting. If the Windows 98 logo and Norton AntiVirus are removed the system restarts normally over 650 times. If the audio drivers and the dynamic Background (Access Aptiva) are removed the system restarts normally over 1200 times. This Fatal error does not appear to cause permanent damage and only occurs very seldom.
Models affected:
2163 and 2164
How to duplicate:
Restart system 200 to 1200 times.
Root cause:
Root cause is not known at this time, there is no hard data to specifically point to Norton AntiVirus or any other driver or application.
Workaround:
The following are workarounds but not very reasonable for the customer.
A) Uninstall Norton AntiVirus and remove the Windows 98 logo screen. (Customer looses Virus protection)
B) Uninstall the Audio driver and disable the dynamic background (Access Aptiva). (Customer loose Audio)
