PS/1-Aptiva - Can I sort a field that contains both first and last names?

If you create a database field that looks similar to this:
NAME: [John Doe____________]
you cannot alphabetize or sort by last name--only first name. Therefore, you will need to create two database fields, similar to the following:
FIRST NAME:[___________________]
LAST NAME:[____________________]
You can sort your records under first and/or last name. To do this, choose "Select" from the menu bar at the top of the screen. From the pull down menu that appears, choose "Sort Records."
To alphabetize your records by Last Name, you will need to insert "Last Name" into the 1st Field to be sorted box and choose OK or press Enter.
For example:
1st Field: [Last Name........]
